Broadened Horizons

Lake Highland is once again proud to offer an exciting way of exploring the world outside of the classroom. Travel is a great educator and our school wants to offer opportunities that students might not otherwise have. We will be offering group trips abroad at various times throughout the calendar year, outside of the regular school calendar of instructional days.

Costa Rica Mission Trip Friday, July 17, 2009 – Sunday, July 26, 2009

A Different Spain 2009

This is a four week study abroad program to Salamanca, Spain.  The trip will begin with a 9 day tour of southern Spain.  Students will visit Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Marbella, Ronda, and Sevilla.  Following the 9 day tour there will be a three week study portion in Salamanca.  Students will live with Spanish families and take 4 hours of Spanish classes a day.  A full array of social and cultural activities is planned for students when they are not in class. The dates of the trip June 19th to July 18th and the cost is $5,200.  There is a $300.00 scholarship available for all students that sign up and pay their deposit by December 1st.

Postponed until Spring Break

.  The trip will include:
¨  round trip airfare between Orlando and New York or New Jersey
¨  accommodations for 3-nights at the Times Square Hilton Hotel or similar
¨  3-breakfasts & 3-dinners for all plus 3-lunch allowances for 2 chaperones

            * dinners at B.B. Kings ~ John’s Pizza ~ Hard Rock Cafe
